Strawberry Update 1/31/23

Strawberry markets are currently experiencing rough conditions due to inclement weather. Supplies are mainly harvested from areas in California, Mexico, and Florida, and all three regions have experienced significant weather patterns over the past several weeks.

• California’s harvest has been impended drastically due to heavy rains over the last month.
• Mexico’s yields are significantly lower due to colder weather in the past few weeks.
• Florida has experienced lower daytime temperatures, as well as a two-day hard freeze.

The market is expected to remain extreme until growing conditions improve, and yields can return to normal. We will continue to provide updates as conditions improve.
